    Hollywood stars of past and present paid their last respects to Clark Gable at a private funeral service at Glendale near Los Angeles, Nov 19 - three days after the film actor's sudden death, at 59, from an acute heart ailment.

    Scores of internationally known personalities packed the hill-top church, where a U.S. Air Force detachment guarded the solid bronze coffin. Pallbearers were Spencer Tracy, Robert Taylor and James Stewart. Among the 200 mourners:-gossip columnist Louella Parsons; Virginia Gray; Ann Southern with her daughter; Norma Shearer, one of Clark Gable's leading ladies; and his fifth wife, Kay, who is expecting a child in a few months.

    Outside the church, behind a police barrier, hundreds of people joined in the mourning for a star of ninety films - "King" of Hollywood for thirty years.
