  • Description

A group of 85 Indians from Uganda, all holders of British passports, staged a sit-in on Friday (June 19) in the precincts of the British Embassy. After being refused entry into britain they have been left with no place to go for more than three weeks.

The group of homeless people includes eight women and a one-year-old baby.

The Asians are bitter at the treatment they are receiving. The decision to sit-in at the British Embassy is their form of protest.

The stranded people have been termed "Shuttlecock" cases. As well as the 85 in the Yugoslav capital, ten more were reported to be in Zagreb, the nation's second city, and several more in towns throughout the country.
