    A representative of Prince Norodom Sihanouk, the exiled former Cambodian Head of State, has said that his successor President Lon Nol and members of his Phnom Penh government will be brought to trial if they are captured.

    Speaking at a Paris news conference on Thursday (16 August), Chaw Seng, the raving Minister of State in the Peking-based Cambodian exile government, added that Prince Sihanouk's forces would fight until they gained total victory.

    He also noted that the ending of United States bombing raids did not mean the end of American involvement in the country. However he called the action of the United States Congress, that brought about the bombing halt, "courageous".

    Reports that escrat peace talks had taken place were denied by Mr. chau Sang who said that there could be no possible compromise with "the traitors of the Lon Nol regime". These wore his comments on the bombing halt:
