    A 21-GUN SALUTE SOUNDED AS PRESIDENT SENGHOR STEPPED FROM HIS PLANE TO BE GREETED BY PRESIDENT NASSER, AND INSPECT A GUARD OF HONOUR. HE HAD ARRIVED FROM ROME, WHERE HE STAYED OVER FRIDAY NIGHT. PRESIDENT SENGHOR WILL STAY AT THE KOUBBEH REPUBLICAN PALACE WHILE HE'S IN CAIRO.

    THE SENEGALESE LEADER WILL GO TO ALGIERS AFTER HIS VISIT TO CAIRO. IN BOTH THE U.A.R. AND ALGERIA HE'LL DISCUSS AFRICAN UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT. IT'S BELIEVED HE'LL ALSO TRY TO OBTAIN SUPPORT FOR AN ECONOMIC CONFERENCE OF ALL DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
