    THE RUSSIAN WOMAN TOOK OUT THE TITLE, THE FOURTH TIME THE CHAMPIONSHIPS HAVE BEEN STAGED, FROM A POOL OF THIRTEEN CONTESTING NATIONS INCLUDING, BULGARIA, THE UNITED STATES, FRANCE, CHILE, JAPAN, PERU, KOREA, ARGENTINA, PARAGUAY, BRAZIL AND YUGOSLAVIA.
