    THE RACE WAS ORGANISED BY THE CAR MANUFACTURING FIRM OF SCUDERIA-BARACUDA. THE COURSE LIES OVER SOME 50 MILES (80 KMS) OF TWISTING JUNGLE ROAD.

    THE CARS DROVE THROUGH THE NIGHT AND INTO THE NEXT DAY'S DAWN. THEY HAD TO COVER TEN LAPS OF THE COURSE, AT PRE-DETERMINED AVERAGE SPEEDS.

    EACH CAR HAD TWO DRIVERS, ALTERNATING LAP BY LAP.

    EVENTUAL WINNER WAS THE TEAM OF HONTHOOF AND LEQUEUX, DRIVING A VOLKSWAGEN 1500.

    PRENIJS AND SHAMSHUDIN, IN A VOLKSWAGEN 1300, CAME SECOND, WITH LENOIR AND FACHE THIRD IN A VOLKSWAGEN 1200.
