    THE MEETING WAS HELD IN THE GUTENBERG HOTEL, MAINZ, AND WAS ATTENDED BY ABOUT 150 OF THE 1000 OR MORE MEN ORIGINALLY IMPRISONED IN CAMP 12 MURCHISON, VICTORIA, DURING WORLD WAR II.

    THE EX-POW'S CHATTED OVER DINNER ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES IN THE CAMP, WHICH GENERALLY SEEMED TO HAVE BEEN QUITE HAPPY. THEY EXCHANGED PHOTOGRAPHS, AND SHOWED VARIOUS ITEMS THEY HAD MADE WHILE IN AUSTRALIA, INCLUDING A FINE CHESS SET.
