Background: Muslim art went on show in London on Thursday (II November), when at the ICA Gallery in London's West End, the richness of Islamic design and painting was displayed. Princess Margaret, sister of Britain's Queen Elizabeth, attended the preview.
The art exhibition was part of the World of Islam Festival, due to begin on November 12, and the first major festival about the Muslim world ever to be held in the West.
The month-long Festival is part of the Oriental Programme of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, under its Director Paul Keeler.
