Almost any garage in this country will wash and even polish your car for you but most of them are either unable, or unwilling to clear the interior of your oar. At best they might attempt to brush out those areas of the interior which are accessible, but usually this does not more than simply move the dirt from one part of the car to another.
Enterprising and car-pound owners have tried to use their own domestic vacuum cleaners for this job but because of insufficient power, these attempts have also proved unsuccessful.
With the introduction of the Vacmobile all this is changed. It enables garages and filling stations all over the country to offer their clients a quick, economic and efficient means of removing not only accumulated dust and dirt, but also mud, stones, cigarette ends etc. All the motorist has to do when calling at a garage equipped with the Vacmobile is to insert 6d, and he will then have three minutes to clean out the inside of his car. Exhaustive tests have proved that three minutes is all that is required, even for the largest of saloon cars. An indicator on the Vacmobile, which resembles a petrol pump and thus fits nicely into the general decor of a filling station, shows exactly how the three minutes are ticking off.
The Vacmobile has been designed and developed entirely in the country by Mr. Jeffrey M. Sass, Managing Director of Vacmobile Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Responsible for the original idea was his wife, Sheila, who drew the first rough sketches of the machine. As a matter of fact the patents in respect of this machine are held by her.
Considering the improvement in appearance resulting from three minutes with the Vacmobile, plus the undoubted hygienic benefit, as well as maintenance of the car's resale value, the 6d. spent represents probably the best value in British motoring today.
