TRANSCRIPT: WEBSTER: "WE HAD TWO CONSECUTIVE MEETINGS TO REACH THE POINT WHERE WE WOULD HAVE ETHER ONE OR TWO MORE MEETINGS IN ANGUILLA, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, PERHAPS UNTIL SUNDAY: NO-ONE CAN TELL HOW LONG THESE MEETINGS WILL LAST. BUT I AM HOPING, LADDIES AND GENTLEMEN, THAT THIS WILL BE A MEANS OF, AT LEAST A STOP TO, OUR FREEDOM. AS I HAVE SAID JUST NOW, FREEDOM COMES NOT CHEAP. WE DO NOT ANTICIPATE BLOOD, BUT WE HAVE ANTICIPATED SOMETHING FROM OUR FREE PEOPLE OUTSIDE, FREE DEMOCRATIC" PEOPLE TO ASSIST US. AND I AM SENDING OUT AGAIN AN APPEAL TO ALL OF THE WORLD, TO EACH FREE NATION, TO ASSIST US. WE DO NO BY ANY MEN AS INTEND TO GIVE UP OUR FREEDOM BECAUSE OF OPPRESSION AND BECAUSE OF OPPRESSION AND BECAUSE OF AN INVASION. ONE CAN ONLY DIE ONCE, HE CAN ONLY DIE ONCE, HE CAN ONLY DIE ONCE. AND WE ARE PREPARED TO DIE FOR OUR FREEDOM"

SEQ 4: GUMBS: "WELL IT IS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND HIS REASONING OF WHAT IS MEANT BY AN AGREEMENT BEING BREACHED. I UNDERSTAND, NOT ONLY FROM MR. WEBSTER, BUT FROM THE LITTLE NEWSPAPER THAT IS PRINTED IN ANGUILLA, T BEACON,THE DAY AFTER THIS AGREEMENT WAS SIGNED MR. LEE, WHO IS THE COMMISSIONER, HER MAJESTY'S COMMISSIONER, INSERTED IN THE BEACON A STATEMENT IMPOSING MARTIAL LAW ON THE ISLAND OF ANGUILLA.

"BEYOND THAT, PEOPLE WERE BEING SEARCHED, THEIR PASSPORTS TAKEN, THEIR BANKBOOKS TAKEN; PEOPLE WENT ARRESTED, BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE GUNS TO PRODUCE; PEOPLE WERE REPORTED; AND NOTHING OF THIS WAS DONE WITH CONSULTATION OF THE COUNCIL OR WITH ANY CO-OPERATION. THIS WAS ONLY ARBITRARILY DONE. NOW IF THIS MEANS THAT THIS IS WHAT MR. STEWART MEANS BY FRIENDLY CO-OPERATION AND CONSULTATION, THE PEOPLE OF ANGUILLA HAVE OTHER IDEAS".
