The delegates to the Republican Convention had voted on Tuesday night by 1,347 to I to make Mr. Nixon the choice of the Party for a second term in the White House. The single delegate vote was captured by Representative William McCloskey who ran in the primaries opposed to Mr. Nixon's Vietnam policies.
