  • Description

A twenty-nine-year-old German immigrant, Gunter Kuhn, is tested by Toronto radiologists to determine whether or not he's radioactive. Kuhn sent a Toronto Civil Defense team into an uproar when he asked to be tested for radioactivity....and sent geiger counters jumping.... They found in his possession about twenty grams of radioactive material. Fortunately, it wasn't pure radium, which would have killed him within forty-eight hours. A Toronto physicist, Reynold Elson, gives him a clean bill of health:
PHYCISIT SAYS KUHN ISN'T IN ANY DANGER AND THE ROOMING HOUSE WHERE HE STAYS IS ALSO "CLEAN". HOWEVER, HE ADDS THAT TIGHTER RESTRICTIONS SHOULD BE IMPOSED.
