    THE MISSION IS LED BY MR. ERIC FITZROY, A PROMINENT BUSINESS MAN AND PRESIDENT OF THE AUSTRALIAN AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCT MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION. WITH HIM IS MR. P. PATRONI, ANOTHER BUSINESSMAN, AND MR. R. J. BARTRAM, AUSTRALIAN TRADE COMMISSIONER IN KENYA, WHO ORGANISED THE TRIP.

    THE AUSTRALIANS SPENT MUCH OF YESTERDAY (FRIDAY) IN TALKS WITH MEMBERS OF THE KENYA NATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AT ITS HEADQUARTERS IN THE EMBASSY BUILDING, NAIROBI, AND WITH KENYA'S INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

    MR. FITZROY AND HIS COLLEAGUES ARE SEEN TALKING WITH MR. G. NGUGI, CHAMBER SECRETARY, AND MR. G. MEROGE, SECRETARY OF THE INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

    LAST YEAR KENYA IMPORTED MORE THAN 200,000 DOLLARS (83,000 STERLING) NORTH OF MOTOR INDUSTRY PRODUCTS. THE TRADE MISSION REPRESENTED THE MAKERS OF EVERYTHING FROM PASSENGER CARS TO GREASE-GUNS. AS WELL AS INCREASING TRADE, THE MISSION WAS LOOKING AT THE PROSPECTS FOR JOINT MANUFACTURING VENTURES.
