Background: Czechoslovak Prime Minister Lubomir Strougal flew to Budapest on Monday (February 22) for talks centred on economic issues with his Hungarian opposite number, Mr. Jeno Fock. The Czechoslovak leader was also filmed during a meeting with Hungarian President Pal Losonczi.
SYNOPSIS: The flags were out at Budapest airport on Monday for an official visit by the Czechoslovak Prime Minister, Dr. Lubomir Strougal. His Hungarian opposite number, Prime Minister Jeno Fock, and several members of his cabinet, were there to meet the Czechoslovak leader and his wife.
The two Premiers at once started talks at Parliament House. Negotiations were reported to centre mainly on economic ties between Czechoslovakia & Hungary -- though international issues were also believed to be under review.
The discussion continued when the Hungarian President Pal Losonczi received Dr. Strougal. Existing co-operation between the two countries was reviewed, and agreement was reached to extend contracts in all spheres, particularly in specialised areas like industry, agriculture and technical science.
