    However, the rivals' performance looked rather like a training session that a championship duel. the hockey buffs just witnessed a rather dull game devoid of excitement, clashes or bright combinations.

    The second period proved to be as dull as the first one. A blunder by Finnish defenders cost them a goal. after their goal-keeper remained face to face with a Polish forward.

    The match judged by U. Dalberg (Sweden) and A. Zakharov (the USSR) ended in a I-I draw.
