  • Description

First films of the Dodge Dart and Coronet for 1970 were released today.

Dodge's economy compact, the Dart, takes on a new look for 1970. Hood scoops adorn this model, the Swinger 340. And a three speed floor shift is standard. Four engine options are offered, ranging from the 198 cubic inch six to the 340 cubic inch V-8. A bumble bee stripe on the Swinger 340 makes this car easy to identify. And all of the rear lights are mounted in the massive rear bumped.

The Dart will be available this coming year in nine models with a long list of options. DODGE'S family-size car, the Coronet, gets a wide spread of styling and engineering improvements for 1970. A vinyl roof is an optional item.

Up front on the CORONET, the split grille is surrounded by twin bumpers. Changes in Coronet's rear styling include a new deck lid design, new tail lights and a larger bumper. Twenty-four Coronet models will be available with a full range of accessories and engine options for 1970.
