SYNOPSIS: "Synchronise your watches, you guys - it's still 1944 here in SW England, and as you can see, the American GIs are still hanging around getting ready to invade Normandy. There's something a little funny about these GIs - they've got American uniforms and mostly American equipment alright, but they speak with English accents - in fact, they are English - a band of local accent - rice who love renovating old American Army vehicle from the 2nd world War and driving around in them dressed up in uniforms of the same vintage. They call themselves the "Marauders" - for the last 5 years they've been fixing up and driving some of the ancient war surplus equipment left behind by the American Army units that went from here to France over 30 years ago. The "Marauders" spend a lot of their time and money on this odd enthusiasm - they just seem to get a huge kick out of playing American soldiers."
"That was a group - now for a change of pace - something really individual - let's meet a gentleman named "Snowy" Farr. "Snowy"'s a street entertainer in his time off from his gardening job. His act is for the kids in and around Cambridge - It's a pretty off-beat act,l too. "Snowy", a 55-year-old bachelor, performs for free - when he does take up a collection, it's for charity - he says he's collected about $9,000 for 2 blind charities over the last 3 1/2 years.
