  • Description

More than ten men in shirt sleeves fought and struggled with stewards at a meeting on "Central Africa - Which Way Now?" at the Central Hall, Westminster, July 30.

Chairman dingle Foot, Labour M.P. for Ipswich, appealed to the audience of 500 to sit down, as steel chairs were wielded. Shouting and struggling continued for six or seven minutes.

One man had his shirt and jacket torn off, another was bleeding from the head. A police inspector took the names of a number of men put out of the hall by the stewards.

Earlier, interrupters shouted: "They're all sedition-mongers on the platform." And as the people ejected from the meeting moved away, shouts were heard of "Keep Britain white".
