    ON JUNE 25, THE FOURTEENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE OUTBREAK OF THE KOREAN WAR, A GIANT MONUMENT, DEDICATED TO THE UNITED NATIONS WAS UNVEILED ON THE BANK OF THE HAN RIVER IN SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA.

    THE MONUMENT, WHICH IS 155 FT HIGH IS THE TALLEST MONUMENT IN SOUTH KOREA AND WAS BUILT FROM FUNDS RAISED FROM VARIOUS GOVERNMENT AND STUDENT ORGANISATIONS.

    SIXTEEN NATIONS TOOK PART IN THE KOREAN WAR AND TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND MEN DIED.

    ATTENDING THE CEREMONY AND SHOWN IN THE FILM WERE PRESIDENT CHUNG HEE PAK OF SOUTH KOREA, THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR TO SEOUL AND THE COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE UNITED NATIONS FORCES IN KOREA, GENERAL HAMILTON H. HOWZE.
