The Presidium of the Organisation of Solidarity of Peoples of Asia and Africa began their eight-day meeting in the Vietnamese capital on Friday (12 January). Established in Cairo in 1957, the organisation's aims are to speed up genuine liberation of Asian and African peoples and to secure their economic, social and cultural advancement. Shortly before leaving Zambia, Mr Nkomo condemned Rhodesia's recently published draft constitution. He called it evidence that the white minority was determined to retain political power after the elections, scheduled for next April.
