  • Description

A demonstration decrying the Viet Cong victory in South Vietnam took place in Paris on Wednesday (7 May), just one day after a huge workers' rally which celebrated the Communist win.

Members of the Paris-based French-South Vietnamese Association joined members of the National Front in the demonstration.

As well, a group of young, right-wing Catholics, calling themselves the "Jaunesse Catholique Indignee", protested against both the Vietnamese and Cambodian takeovers, criticising Western powers and the modern Christian church hierarchy for allowing the current Southeast Asian situation to develop.
