MR. GORONWY ROBERTS MINISTER OF STATE AT THE BOARD OF TRADE WAS ADDRESSING THE OPENING OF THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF AIRLINE PILOT'S ASSOCIATIONS.

    MR. ROBERTS REFERRED TO THE RECENT BOMB ATTACK ON A SWISSAIR PLANE WHICH CRASHED KILLING THE 47 PEOPLE ABOARD. HE SAID THAT THERE WERE NOW PEOPLE PREPARED TO ENDANGER AIR TRAVELLERS FOR PERSONAL, POLITICAL OR MERCERINARY MOTIVES..... AND THEY WERE WILLING TO GO TO ANY LENGTH TO ACHIEVE THEIR AIMS.
