    Sir Roy Welensky, Prime Minister of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, who arrived in London July 4 for talks on the Federation's future went to 10 Downing Street July 6 to attend a two-hour informal meeting with Prime Minister Macmillan.

    Sir Roy was accompanied by Federal Minister of Law J.W. Greenfield and High Commissioner for the Federation Sir Gilbert Rennie. British Ministers present were the Earl of Home, Commonwealth Relations Secretary, and Mr. Lennox-Boyd, Colonial Secretary.

    Discussions are understood to have covered proposals for a "fact-finding mission to go out to Central Africa in advance of next year's review of the Federal Constitution."
    Further meetings are expected to be held within the next week. It was stated in U.K. Opposition circles that Mr. Gaitskell would be prepared to arrange for talks with Sir Roy.
