    EX-KING SAUD OF SAUDI ARABIA WILL LEAVE ATHENS FOR CAIRO ON SUNDAY ABOARD AN AIRLINER SENT BY UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC PRESIDENT, GAMAL ABDEL NASSER. THE FORMER KING HELD A PRESS CONFERENCE IN ATHENS TO DISCUSS HIS MOVE LAST NIGHT (WEDNESDAY).

    PRESIDENT NASSER IS SENDING TWO AIRLINERS TO TRANSPORT THE EX-KING, MEMBERS OF HIS FAMILY, ENTOURAGE OF 50, AND BAGGAGE FOLLOWING THE PRESIDENT'S ACCEPTANCE OF THE KING'S REQUEST THAT HE BE ALLOWED TO RESIDE IN A MOSLEM COUNTRY DURING THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN WHICH BEGAN ON DECEMBER 13TH.

    THE EX-KING WAS ASKED AT HIS ATHENS PRESS CONFERENCE WHETHER HIS VISIT WOLD NOT CLASH WITH THE PRESENT POLICY OF HIS BROTHER KING FEISAL OF SAUDI ARABIA. HE REPLIED: "I HAVE GIVEN A LOT OF THOUGHT TO THIS AND I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING."
    THE 64 YEAR OLD KING, DEPOSED TWO YEARS AGO IN FAVOUR OF HIS YOUNGER BROTHER, HAS BEEN LIVING AT A SEASIDE HOTEL NEAR ATHENS SINCE, WITH OCCASIONAL VISITS TO VIENNA FOR MEDICAL CHECK-UPS.

    THE FORMER KING, WHO HAS SAID HE WILL STAY IN THE UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD, TOLD THE PRESS CONFERENCE THAT THE PEOPLE OF SAUDI ARABIA STILL LOVED HIM. HE CONTINUED TO LOVE THEM AND REMAIN IN CONTACT WITH THEM.

    HE ASKED IF HE PLANNED TO RETURN TO SAUDI ARABIA SOME DAY, TO WHICH HE REPLIED: "ALLAH YAALAM" (GOD ONLY KNOWS).
