Background: The Eritrean Liberation Front (ELF) has announced in Beirut that it will join forced with the major secessionist organisation, the Eritrean Peoples' Liberation Front (EPLE) to continue their struggle for independence, from Ethiopia. An ELF representative, Mr Omar Amlin, declared on Saturday (17 February) that the Ethiopian government had not squashed their bid for independence.
