A five member british expedition left kathmandu today by air to west Nepal Himalayas to EXPLORE, SURVEY and CLIMB and the Kanjiroba mountain. Kaniroba, mentioned in all Nepal maps has so far remained unexplored undiscovered and unclimbed by any mountaineering team several expeditions including three British (one of them all women) three Japanese and two Italian teams have failed to find this mountain any where in the area mentioned in the maps. This team aimed at discovering the missing mountain, explore the region and climb the highest peak in the range supposed to be 23107 feet high. Two members of the team including leader Mr. John Tyson and T.H. Braham left Kathmandu earlier yesterday to discover the region through different route. Three other members of the team; Dr. R. E. Kendell, John Cole and James Burnet left today.
This is departure of the three members to the unknown region.
