Mr. N. Krishnaswamy, W.A.Y. Secretary for Asia, said the Seminar was to focus attention of youth on their own needs and requirements and to help them fulfil their responsibilities. He aid the Seminar would also bring together representatives of youth organisations from many countries of Asia and the pacific region, and given them an opportunity to exchange ideas and experience.

Lecturers from UNESCO, ESCAFE (Economic Commission for Asia and the Far East), and similar organisations will also address the delegates during the ten-day conference.
