    THE GAMBIAN PRIME MINISTER, SIR DAUDA JAWARA, STOPPED BRIEFLY IN ACCRA ON SEPTEMBER THE 19TH WHEN HE MET GHANA'S PRIME MINISTER DR. KOFI BUSIA AND MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNMENT. HE SAID THAT HE FELT THE RECENT ORGANISATION OF AFRICAN UNITY (OAU) RESOLUTION ON THE NIGERIAN CIVIL WAR A POSITIVE STEP FORWARD TOWARDS A SOLUTION.

    ALSO PRESENT AT THE MEETING WERE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNMENT, AND LATER SIR DAUDA MET THE DEPUTY-CHAIRMAN OF THE PRESIDENTIAL COMMISSION, MR. J.W.K. HARLLEY.

    SIR DAUDA TOLD NEWSMEN THAT IF BIAFRA INSISTS ON HER STAND TO SECEDE, THEN THERE WILL BE AN IMPASSE, BUT BETWEEN THE TWO EXTREMES THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF FINDING A COMPROMISE.

    HE SAID HE WAS CONFIDENT IN THE OAU WHICH HAD MADE SOME ADVANCES IN SOLVING A NUMBER OF THE PROBLEMS OF THE CONTINENT.
