  • Description

Pamplona merrily celebrates its traditional Festivities of St. Fermin.

The groups or crews of youths follow the gigants and fat-heads.....

    Is this a competitor?....No it is a pantomime ....
In the pens the bulls await the firing of the rocket which marks the start of the thrilling show which is the folding of the beasts in Pamplona.

The daring race across the narrow thoroughfare called Calle de los Valientes (Street of the Brave) - only those with real courage can cross it - starts.

Henry Fonda is anxious net to lose any phase of the spectacle.

The most dramatic moment is to take place at the entrance of the plaza. A real human mass blocks access to it and everyone wonders what is to happen when the beasts and those running before them arrive.

The bulls are pressed between the lads.... but St. Fermin takes care every years of these daring youths. The beasts try to make their way through the human barrier. Some times a bull jumps over the crowd.

The beasts seem baffled at so much temerity and the cameraman records these scenes of the bulls making their way with difficulty and slowly ....
Even if it seems incredible, the truth is that no casualties were recorded..... This is the moment when the human barrier given way and the bulls of Guardiola enter the ring.

Heifers with rubber balls on the horns are set loose... they are no fools, and when they are bent on it, no one escapes a toss.

The public laughs at the improvised toreadors run for safety!
