    The Apollo Eight space craft, the capsule that made the first manned orbit of the moon, is being shipped to Japan to be placed in the American Pavilion of Expo '70, next year's world's fair in Osaka.

    The historic craft, which orbited the moon last Christmas, made a stop in New York where one side of the crate was removed so that Japanese officials could look at it. It has been on view in Europe.

    The Apollo Eight astronauts were Frank Borman, James Lovell and William Anders.
