    Aviation experts have begun their probe into the cause of the fire that wrecked a Danish Caravelle airliner in Teheran, Iran, on Friday (15 March).

    Fifteen people died and 51 of the 96 passengers aboard the plane were injured in the accident. It happened as the plane - owned by Sterling Airways - was taxiing for take off at Mohrabad Airport.

    The injured are in five hospitals in Teheran, many with burns and some with broken legs and twisted ankles sustained when they jumped from the blazing plane. Thirty people escaped unhurt from the plane, which was taking off for Copenhagen.

    Some of the passengers - and one of the air hostesses - were interviewed in their hospital beds after the accident. They told of the panic that broke out in the main cabin, as the passengers tried to escape.
