    Representatives from four Arab countries - Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Syrian Province of the United Arab Republic - began in Damascus, Nov. 28, their fourth economic conference, on co-ordinating trade between their countries.

    The conference was held in the Syrian Ministry of National Economy. Syrian delegation leader, Amis Shebat, secretary of the Communications Ministry, said, Dec. 1, that agreement in principle on four points had been attained. They would be referred to respective governments prior to being submitted to the Arab Economic Council meeting Dec. 7.

    The points of accord were:
    1) Freedom of transit of goods of Arab origin by lorries to all Arab countries:
    2) Foreign goods in transit to be distributed between lorries registered in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan in fixed proportions:
    3) No duties on goods in transit:
    4) A fixed minimum of goods to be carried by rail.
