TRANSCRIPT: INTERVIEWER: "Joe, now that this ordeal seems to be over for you, what are your thoughts looking back on the whole scene?"

SEQ. 5: KENNEDY: "I just think that--watching all the different reactions from the people and seeing how calm everybody kept and...it was just amazing that nobody was running around hysterically. Everybody just sat there and took everything in stride. And as somebody said the stewardess--when one of the hijackers first jumped with his gun, the stewardess sort of looked up at him and kept picking up the dinners. And the gunman ran up to her and started waving the gun over her head and so she sat herself down next to somebody and said--'Well, you never know when these things happen--do you have a cigarette?' Background: Palestinian Commandos suddenly a two-day long hijacked of a jumbo jetliner in Aden last night (23 Feb.) by freeing their last 14 hostages, the crew, and surrendering to South Yemeni authorities.

The five or six commandoes were taken away by police following negotiations which involved Bonn authorities.

Earlier the hijackers had released the aircraft's passengers, who were then flown on the Athens and Frankfurt. Among the men was Joseph Kennedy, the 19-year-old son of assassinated U.S. Senator, Robert Kennedy.
