    IT WAS THE TENTH REUNION OF THE MEMBER NATIONS OF THE COMMISSION. THEIR PRIMARY OBJECT IS TO AID THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL PROGRESS OF THE VAST INLAND DRAINAGE BASIN WHICH INCLUDES PART OF ALL FOUR COUNTRIES.

    THE COMMISSION'S ACTING PRESIDENT, M. OUSMANE MEY, FEDERAL INSPECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION FOR NORTH CAMEROUN, PAID TRIBUTE TO THE UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME AND TO THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURE ORGANISATION FOR ASSISTING THE COMMISSION'S WORK.

    HE ALSO THANKED THE UNITED STATES FOR ITS INTEREST IN THE COMMISSION'S TRANSPORT, TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND STOCKRAISING PROBLEMS.
