    ON MONDAY NIGHT PATROLS OF BRITISH ARMOURED CARS MINGLED WITH VERY THIN EVENING TRAFFIC.

    THE "TRUCE PACT" WAS REACHED AT AN ALI-NIGHT SESSION OF THE POLITICAL LIAISON COMMITTEE UNDER MR.SANDYS, THE BRITISH COMMONWEALTH SECRETARY.HE SIGNED IT ALONG WITH PRESIDENT MAKARIOS, DR.KUTCHUK AND MEMBERS OF BOTH COMMUNITIES FROM THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
