SHEIKH YAMANI: "We hope that this visit to England, as well as the visits which we will have to other European countries will bring a fruitful result, and we hope that as a result of this crisis stronger economical and political ties will come into existence between the Arab world and Europe as a whole. Thank you."

The Sheikh also expressed the hope that Arab nations will be able to bring oil production back to pre-September levels, once there has been an Israeli withdrawal from occupied Arab lands. He commented on the cut-back in production:

SHEIKH YAMANI: "Well, I think that the whole world is suffering from the cutback in production but that there are some nations who are in a much better position than the others. I think France and Great Britain, as well as Spain, are enjoying a very favourable treatment."
