Background: The girls in Israel are conscripted on the same lines as the men for National Service -- except that they serve only two years instead of two and a half. Israel is the only state that has decreed this.

After their basic training, the girls go out on manoeuvres. Visnews film shows them during these end of training exercises, dressed in full combat equipment.

When they return to the training camp the girls are told to which unit and district they are to be posted.
