    THE INDONESIAN FOREIGN MINISTER, MR ADAM MALIK, ROUNDED OFF HIS 24-HOUR VISIT TO KUALA LUMPUR YESTERDAY WITH A VISIT TO THE CENOTAPH. HE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE MALAYSIAN DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER, TUN ABDUL RAZAK, HIS CO-SIGNATORY IN DJAKARTA ON THURSDAY TO THE PEACE TREATY ENDING CONFRONTATION BETWEEN INDONESIA AND MALAYSIA.

    MR MALIK FLEW TO THE MALAYSIAN CAPITAL ON FRIDAY TO CEMENT THE PEACE AGREEMENT. SOON AFTER HIS ARRIVAL, HE JOINED THE MALAYSIAN PRIME MINISTER, TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN, AND TUN ABDUL RAZAK FOR THE USUAL MOSLEM FRIDAY PRAYERS AT THE NATIONAL MOSQUE. THE MOSQUE IS THE BIGGEST IN SOUTH EAST ASIA AND WAS BUILT AT A COST OF NEARLY ONE MILLION POUNDS STERLING.

    ON SATURDAY, AFTER LAYING A WREATH AT THE CENOTAPH, MR MALIK VISITED THE NEARBY NATIONAL MONUMENT, WHICH IS DEDICATED TO THE MALAYAN SECURITY FORCES WHO DIED FIGHTING THE COMMUNISTS DURING THE 12-YEAR EMERGENCY IN MALAYA.
