Background: Professor Henryk Jablonski, the Polish Head of State arrived in Damascus ion Saturday (17 February) for a three-day official visit. He is the first Polish Head of State ever to visit Syria.
At the airport to greet him and his entourage of over fifty advisers was Syria's President Hafez al-Assad and senior government officials. Professors Jablonski said on arrival that his visit reflects the increasingly cordial relations between the two countries.
Formal talks between the two heads of seats were held on Monday (19 February)
