    THE SEMINAR WAS OPENED BY PRESIDENT HAMANI DIORI OF NIGER, WHO'S ALSO THE PRESIDENT OF OCAM, AN ECONOMIC GROUPING OF FRENCH-SPEAKING AFRICAN STATES.

    HE OPENED THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR OF THE STUDENTS' MOVEMENT OF OCAM, AND TOLD THE YOUNG AFRICANS THAT IN WHATEVER ACADEMIC FILED THEY SPECIALISED THEY MUST ALSO BE CONCERNED WITH ECONOMIC MATTES. M. DIORI ALSO SPOKE OF THE NEED FOR GREATER CO-OPERATION BETWEEN THE OCAM MEMBER-STATES AND THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY.
