Background: A crowd of 100,000 watched two London sides, Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers, draw one-all in the FA (Football Association) Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, on May 22. It was the second successive draw in two years, and like last year, will be resolved in a replay, scheduled for May 27. tottenham Hotspur, the cup holders, were tipped to beat their opponents, a side from the Second Division. But Queen's Park Rangers fought hard, and it was not until extra time that the goals came. tottenham were first to score after midfielder Glenn Hoddle received a well-placed cross and drove the ball into the net in the 109th minute. Just six minutes later, Rangers equalised when a long throw-in was headed towards the net by bob Hazell, then headed home by Terry Fenwick. Two Tottenham stars missed the game: Argentines Ricardo Villa and Osvaldo Ardiles. Villa, who scored the winning goal in last year's Tottenham victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup replay was left out of this year's side on the morning of the game. Ardiles is training with the Argentine World Cup squad.
