Hundreds of people gathered in the industrial area of Nairobi in Kenya on Thursday (November 30) as piles of paint cans caught fire outside a factory - threatening a major explosion.

As the flames swept along the factory walls, firefighters and police liased by radio to control the blaze - and to move several petrol tankers parked nearby.

The danger to the tankers was eliminated when firemen brought the blaze under control after about 40 minutes.
