There was a new development in the Algerian crisis Dec. 12. In the Casbah, the Arab quarter of Algiers, Moslems attacked the small Jewish community there. The main Jewish synagogue and several Jewish shops were sacked,but there were no casualties. A nationalist flag was hoisted over the synagogue.
