  • Description

South African Foreign Minister Hilgard Muller told the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday (30 September) that his country was carrying on a dialogue with its own native peoples and with some of its neighbours.

He was referring to recent consultations with the leaders of Bantustan homelands, created by the South African Government for the black native population, and to the recent visit of Malawi President Kamuzu Banda to South Africa. Mr. Banda was the first black African leader to visit South Africa.

For a totally opposing view of what is happening inside South Africa, we refer you to our Production No. 11431/71, serviced on September 29, Mr. Elijah Mudenda to the General Assembly, warning of the danger of racial conflict in southern Africa.
