  • Description

The United States command has said that it now has helicopters equipped with a new anti-tan missile in South Vietnam. And more such missiles are being rushed to South Vietnam to meet the latest thrusts of the communist offensive. This official film from The United States Department of Defence shows the missile being tested recently at the Redstone Arsenal in Alabama.

The missiles are fired form the helicopter and are guided by electrical impulses travelling along thin wires which reel out behind as it travels.

This film includes slow-motion sequences of the missile being fired from helicopter and in flight. The launcher can be used on the ground as well.

The new missile has so far reportedly never before been used in combat. But it's been included in the large American supply build-up in South Vietnam.
