    MANY BRITISH SERVICEMEN'S WIVES RECORDED THE HISTORICAL VISIT OF THE PRINCE ON THEIR CINECAMERAS.

    FILM SHOWS THE INFORMAL CONVERSATIONS THE PRINCE HAD WITH THE MANY SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN WHO WERE AT THE CLUB FOR THEIR SATURDAY OUTING. CHILDREN WHO WERE SWIMMING GOT OUT OF THE POOL TO JOIN THE CROWD IN WELCOMING THE PRINCE, WHO WAS IN A ROYAL AIR FORCE UNIFORM.

    CONTINUING HIS TOUR, PRINCE PHILIP DROVE TO A NEARBY SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN OF BRITISH SERVICEMEN. HE WAS GIVEN A ROUSING WELCOME BY THE SCHOOLCHILDREN, WHILE TALKING TO THEM, PRINCE PHILIP JOKINGLY CLICKED A BOY'S CAMERA WHICH RAISED LAUGHTER FROM THE CROWD.

    AFTER HIS VISITS, PRINCE PHILIP FLEW IN A HELICOPTER TO THE ROYAL AIR FORCE BASE AT CHANGI, SOUTHEAST OF SINGAPORE TO BOARD A PLANE FOR MALAYSIAN BORNEO.

    AIR FORCE PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE OUT IN STRENGTH TO WELCOME THE PRINCE. ONCE AGAIN THERE WAS A MEET-THE-PEOPLE SESSION. VARIOUS GROUPS OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS AND CREW WERE INTRODUCED TO THE PRINCE. BEFORE FLYING OFF TO MALAYSIAN BORNEO, PRINCE PHILIP INSPECTED A GUARD OF HONOUR PROVIDED BY THE AIR FORCE, THE PRINCE DROVE IN AN OPEN VEHICLE.

    WHILE IN BORNEO, THE PRINCE WILL VISIT BRITISH AND MALAYSIAN DEFENCE POSITIONS ALONG THE 900-MILE FRONTIER WHICH SEPARATES MALAYSIAN SARAWAK FROM INDONESIAN BORNEO.
