This film records air support given the 1st Squadron of the 11th Cavalry (Armored) during Operation Manhattan in War Zone C, South Vietnam.

An Air Force forward air controller (FAC) checks out the area of a requested air strike and marks the target with smoke rockets. He circles the are in hopes of drawing fire from enemy forces in hiding below.

On the ground, tanks and men of the 11th Armored Cavalry fire their weapons into the target area.

Soon, an Air Force F4C "Phantom" jet makes a pass over the target area and drops his ordinance. The next aircraft is an F-100 "Supersabre" which puts bombs on the target.

Meanwhile, on the ground, a soldier maintains contact with the FAC who is checking the area during and after the strikes, giving the ground forces the extent of damage done by the Air Force jets' bombings.

Following the air strikes tanks, armored personnel carriers, and soldiers move out to continue the sweep of the jungle area.
