  • Description

An important new addition to the range of French Citroen cars of 1968 is the Dyane - an improved and stylised version of the hard-working 2 CV car.

The utility 2 CV will continue in production and the Dyane is intended to fill public demand for a car between the 2 CV and the bigger Citroens.

The Dyane, say the makers, incorporates the best of Citroen's long experience with both earlier types of vehicle. From the 2 CV, the Dyane will take its air-cooled, two-cylinder engine, and from the bigger ID and DS models, the suspension system.

The Dyane is a four-seat car with a 425 c.c. engine and is designed in modern, functional style, capable of a maximum speed of 99 kms an hour (61 mph).
