    President Felix Houphouet Boigny of the Ivory Coast and President Omar Bongo of Gabon began a visit to Togo on Thursday (21 October) for talks with President Gnassingbe Eyadema.

    SYNOPSIS: A communique from President Eyadema's office said the three Presidents would discuss world problems and ways of strengthening solidarity between their peoples. They were loudly applauded throughout their journey from the airport to ten Presidential Palace.

    President Mobutu Sese Seko of Zaire was due to have taken part in the talks with the other three presidents, but at the last moment he announced he had to leave for Europe for medical treatment. It was the third meeting this month between the three leaders.

    Later, President Eyadema said they were determined to work for the liberation of their continent in all spheres.
