  • Description

France became the hot favourite to win this season's international rugby championship following a thrilling 4-3 victory over England at the Twickenham ground in London Saturday (19 February). The French got their points through centre Francois Sangalli who scored the match's only try in the 49th minute. England's fullback Alastair Highnell kicked a penalty late in the second half, but England couldn't bridge the one point gap. The early play was all England and BBC commentator Bill McLaren takes up the story as England launch one of their early attacks.
